We had to drop the main before the start due to loose battens, which lead to the jib being hoisted in the wrong track/wrong halyard, so that next sailchange had to be a slow, bareheaded change.<br /><br />A comedy of errors that in the end robbed us of any real chance to challenge, as we went from plan A to plan Z in the end. Thats how it goes, but funnily this race was more enjoyable for me than even winning in 2004. <br /><br />Life is all about passion, and if you hit a wall, as I did in 2004/2005, then even winning is not as much fun as being out there for the right reasons. It is also doing what you do with people you enjoy, and this was a crew consisting of really nice guys, not implying that the previous were not.
